Sun Bears

Finally made it along to see the Sun Bears. Have been meaning to for a while now, and I had a sunny day free so off I went. Still working on my sketches, not sure what form they will take as yet, but I feel a screen printing session coming on so watch this space. Ill be up at the next Makers Market at The Steeple on the 6th of November so there may well be some Sun Bear themed prints there. The last Makers Market in June was a really nice busy day so no doubt this one will be just as good!

Recently I have been working on some new drawings...as you probably know by now I love to draw animals and have just completed these limited edition prints, now available on my Folksy Shop. I have heard that Edinburgh Zoo has a new edition of two Sun Bears, these could well be the inspiration for my next drawings I think...watch this space.

HaarFest Pop Up Shop

I will be selling a selection of my work at this years HaarFest, in a Pop-Up shop which will be in Murray Library, on the harbour in Anstruther. There will be a selection of artist exhibiting and selling their work as well as creative music sessions, art installations and workshops including patchwork, song writing and sunshine printing. Its sure to be a wonderful event running from Saturday 14th August till Saturday 21st August. Please come along if you can and support all the artists involved. Hope to see you there.

I am currently working on a new range of felt animals based on my drawings, a few of which made their debut at the Makers Market in Newburgh last Saturday, and I must say they went down a treat. New Years Resolution

My new years resolution is to sort out my website! When i first had it made i was in the midst of completing my portfolio and setting up the degree show and so it became some what of a muddle, and i know feel it is no longer relevant. Well its been a bit quiet round these here parts recently as i am only just recovered from the second Tea Cosy which was a great success and i am now thoroughly tired, however more work is to be done for the next event which will be on Sunday the 20th of december in Edinburgh at the St George's Church West. Teacosy Too!

I am pleased to say that i will be exhibiting at Teacosy Too which opens on Saturday the 5th of December at 10am, with lots of tea, cakes and music!

Teacosy Too is an alternative art, craft and design fair and is the perfect opportunity to purchase a variety of original christmas presents with stalls exhibiting jewelry, textiles, ceramics, illustration, printmaking and many more.

Event Date and Time: Saturday 5 December 10am - 6pm and

Sunday 6 December 10am - 5pm

Venue: The Academy (In the old Pier unit), Belmont Street, Aberdeen

Courtyard Books

Last week i was commissioned by the lovely people at Courtyard Books to come up with an illustration for their new range of book tokens. I was very pleased to be asked and after coming up with my design i spent all last night silkscreening the final outcome. They will end up digitalized of course, however i think the hand printed touch never goes a miss! They especially wanted pandas so heres the final outcome what do you think?

Well i set up this blog in July and since then i have blogged a whopping total of about 3 times! I have now decided to dedicate myself to blogging at least once a week. I am also in the process of setting up a shop on folksy...watch this space.

I have been very busy these past few days...weeks...months making and preparing for the coming christmas fairs and have added quite a few new lines to my range of hand made delights. This week i have been working on some screen printed wooden brooches. what do you think?

The first ever Teacosy, (alternative arts, crafts and design fair) is fast approaching and i will be exhibiting/selling some handmade things!!
